Chad Bekkum

Chad L. Bekkum, 46, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his home.

Private family services will be held.  Memorials may be made to the family.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on June 9, 1974, the son of Brian and Renee (McCoy) Bekkum.  On December 4, 1999, he was united in marriage to Rhonda R. Ricketts in Davenport.

In earlier years, Chad worked in apartment management in several apartment complexes.

Chad loved music and enjoyed playing the drums and bass guitar.  He was a avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and treasured the times spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Horror movies, horror memorabilia and everything else to do with horror were favorites of Chad.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Rhonda; his daughters, Melissa Bekkum, Carrissa Bekkum, Ahleah Bekkum and Deziree Bekkum; his sons, Dezmond Bekkum, Damion Bekkum and Duztin Bekkum; six grandchildren; his father, Brian Bekkum; and his sister, Jessica Bekkum.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Renee Bekkum.
