Chad Hill

Chad C. Hill, 23, of Bettendorf, died Monday, August 20, 2012 in Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Chad was born September 20, 1988 in Davenport, Iowa.  He was employed as a machinist with the Planetary Corporation in Mt. Joy, Iowa.

He was enrolled at Scott Community College where he had planned on earning his degree to become a history teacher.  As a musician, he had a love for music and had also loved the company of dogs.  He served as a ‘foster parent’ for Canine Kindness.

Chad also enjoyed four-wheeling, vacationing in Missouri and spending time outdoors.  He loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews and will be remembered for his sense of humor and his infectious laughter.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Nancy Oliver of Bettendorf and Rodney (Connie) Hill of DeWitt, Iowa; his sister, Alisha Hill of Princeton, Illinois; his brothers, Justin Hill and Jacob Hill of Princeton and Kane Halverson of Bettendorf;  several nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Patricia Madden of Davenport; his grandfathers, Pearly Hill of Davenport and Gary (Lynn) Oliver of North Carolina; and his great-grandparents, Ernest & Leona Meador of Centralia, Illinois.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evalyn Hill and his grandfather, Michael Madden.
