Charles F. “Chuck” Dibbern, 51, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Thursday, August 4, 2016 following an auto accident near Blue Grass, Iowa.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for his son’s future education. Burial will be private.
He was born in Davenport on June 7, 1965, the beloved son of Vic & Judy (Bixby) Dibbern and was a 1983 graduate of Bettendorf High School. On September 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sue F. Foley in Bettendorf.
Chuck was employed in the Receiving Department of Hon Industries of Muscatine, Iowa for over 17 years.
He had a life-long love for dogs, was an avid reader and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sue; his son, Isaac Dibbern; his parents, Vic & Judy Dibbern of Bettendorf; his sister, Peggy (Ron) Petersen of Clinton, Iowa; his brother, Richard (Melissa) Dibbern of Davenport; his niece & nephews, Emily, Robert, Benjamin and Matthew; and many other relatives and wonderful friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents and by his uncle.
