Charles H. Luedt

Charles H. Luedt, 77, a resident of Moline, Illinois died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, Illinois.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 7, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Charles was born June 15, 1931 in Moline, Illinois the son of Walter E. and Dorothy A. (Bolinger) Luedt. He was united in marriage to Sarah A. O’Brien on February 20, 1959 in Bettendorf.
Charles worked for many years as a driver for the May Company and later Adel Wholesalers. He was an avid fan of professional wrestling and enjoyed doing yard work.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sarah; his son, Walter Ernest Luedt; his step-sons, Donald Boardwell and George A. Boardwell Jr., his grand-daughters, Sarah Marie Luedt and Hilary Marie Ashurst and his sisters-in-law, Rose Rogers and Barbara Knapper.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard H. Luedt, his half brother, Bradford Manthe his sisters-in-law, Cecilie Howard, Marguerite Gale, Joyce Applebee, Patricia Caldwell and Caroline Hughes and his brothers-in-law, Earnest, Terrance, Cloyde, Donnie, Lawrence, Eddie and Frances O’Brien.
