Charles W. "Chuck" Mcfadden

Charles Walter “Chuck” McFadden, 80, a resident of Lake Ponderosa, Montezuma, Iowa passed away July 15, 2010 at the Emeritus Assisted Living Center, Urbandale, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.
Chuck was born September 22, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Walter and Clara McFadden. He was united in marriage to Darlene Kelly on September 20, 1929. She preceded him in death in 1991. He later met and married Grace Hartson and was with her until she passed away in 2007.
Chuck had numerous jobs in his life time, working construction, building interstate 235 in Des Moines, Iowa and Flynn Dairy. He retired from Cargill in Des Moines in 1989.
He had many interest including fishing, wood working, bowling, hunting, having company, watching WWE, The Jerry Springer Show, racing and his many grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his children, Charlene Zeroni (Francis), Charles Jr., “Chucky” (Debbie) McFadden, Gary McFadden (Donna), Gloria Burke (Dave), Stephen McFadden, Walter (Kathy) McFadden and Connie (Eric) Moore, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and his siblings, Warren McFadden, Mary Lou Agan and Arthur “Art” McFadden.
In addition to his wives he was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Norma Jean, Robert “Bob”, Donald “Don”, Willis (Jack) and Dorothy.
