Charlotte L. Mcdonald

Charlotte L. McDonald, 84, a resident of Eldridge, Iowa died on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at her home.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in the chapel at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Libertyville, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Contributions in her memory may be made to a favorite charity. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born December 2, 1920 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Robert & Ethel Irene (Prather) May. She was united in marriage to James C. McDonald in New Bern, North Carolina. He preceded her in death in 1969.
Charlotte was a homemaker and enjoyed her daily visits to Al & Jerry’s for her morning coffee with her friends. Her beloved children and grandchildren were the joy of her life and she loved every minute they were together.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters & sons-in-law, Jo Anne & Ed Whitney of Eldridge and Jimmie & Mike Devine of Round Lake, Illinois; her grandchildren, Carrie Harker & her husband, Josh, Joseph Whitney, Shannon Devine, Sarah Devine and Lisa Devine; her sister, Isabelle Meyers of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her brothers, Judd May and James Allen May, both of Martinsburg; and her special friends, Connie and Darrell.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, James C. McDonald Jr. on February 28, 2000; and by several sisters & brothers.
