Cherie L. Boydston

Cherie L. Boydston, 68, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at her home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society or King’s Harvest No-Kill Animal Shelter.

She was born on September 5, 1956, in Kirksville, Missouri, graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1974 and earned her associate’s degree from the American Institute of Commerce in Davenport.

Cherie was employed in customer service in the telemarking industry.

She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, enjoyed attending concerts and attended the Ada Gaffney Shaff School of Modeling. Her family was the joy of her life, and she treasured the time spent together with them. 

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Natasha Boydston of Princeton, Iowa and Meikel Boydston of Silvis, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jonah, JesseLee, Noah, Jaxon and Meikel; her sister, Teresa (Mark) Mapes of Rigby, Idaho; her brother, Bryan Deaver of Bettendorf and her long-time friend and companion, Dan Aromando of Bettendorf.

Cherie was preceded in death by her parents, Sharon and Don Deaver.
