Chester Hazen

Chester L. “Chet” Hazen, 82 a resident of the Asta Care Center in Toluca, Illinois and formerly of Davenport, Iowa and Moline, Illinois died on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the care center.
Private family services have been held. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born in Davenport on November 23, 1930, the son of Alvia & Genevieve (Houser) Hazen. On June 24, 1984, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Rentschler in Moline, Illinois.
For many years, Chet was employed by National Furniture Liquidators
He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army Air-Corps and later in the U. S. Navy.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Kathleen; his sisters, Elizabeth Sperry of Davenport and Darlene (Jerry) Hixon of Peoria, Illinois; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Jack & Don; and by his parents.
