Christopher Goodrick

Christopher T. Goodrick, 21, of Buffalo, Iowa, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Parr Cemetery in Pleasant Prairie, Iowa.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Chris was born December 3, 1991 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Shawn L. & Carol M. (Buffington) Goodrick.

Chris was a train buff and enjoyed building model cars.  He also enjoyed playing pool and cards.  Chris was an inventor of sorts and was always coming up with new ideas.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Carol, of Buffalo; his sister, Samantha Goodrick and her fiancé, Richard Martinson II of Bettendorf; his grandparents, Pat & Leslie Buffington of Buffalo and Cheryl & Norman Plog of Muscatine, Iowa; his aunts, Cheryl Honeycutt of Davenport, Cindy Buffington of Buffalo, Cathy Buffington of Davenport, Crystal Ganzer of Muscatine, Sue Atkinson of Aledo, Illinois and Linda Kalinowski of Wisconsin; and his uncles, Joe Buffington of Buffalo, Doug Buffington of Preemption, Illinois, Leslie Buffington II of Shenandoah, Iowa and Mike Plog of Davenport.

Chris was preceded in death by his father in 2000; his uncles, Randy Goodrick, Gerald Buffington and Arthur Honeycutt; and his great-grandparents, Marvin & Flo Sanders.
