Cleo "Jean" Derby

With her last breath, she breathed her soul into the arms of her Savior.  Jean Derby, 88, passed away on May 26, 2023.  Jean was born June 2, 1934, to Ernest and Cleo Aucutt and lived most of her life in the Quad City area.  She worked at Security Bank in Bettendorf, Heber Chiropractic in Columbus Junction, and lastly at Bishops Buffet.

She married Oliver Derby in 1953.  Those left to honor her memory are as follows:  daughters Denise (Bill) Meck and Kelly Long, son Rick Derby, beloved sister Deloma Trussell and brother Duane (Diane) Aucutt, special daughter-in-law Sue Derby, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, son Gary, sister Judy Giles, and her parents.

Per her wishes there will be a private family service and cremation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.
