Clifford Eckermann

Clifford W. Eckermann, 88, of Bettendorf, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport.
Private family graveside services will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 16, 1927 in Davenport, Clifford was the son of Valentine and Mildred (Wiese) Eckermann. On June 2, 1951 he married Dorothy Kok. She preceded him in death on July 12, 1992.
Clifford was a life-long farmer in rural Scott County. In his later years, he worked at Pine Hill Cemetery, helping with the maintenance of the grounds. Clifford cherished his time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Patti Eckermann of Eldridge; grandchildren, Kayla (Matt) Easter, Sarah (Brandon) Hargens and Kyle (Holly) Eckermann; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brody, Ross, Blake and Rylee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Myrtle Keppy.
