Clifford C. Spees

Clifford C. Spees, 87, of Bonita Springs, Florida, and formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at North Collier Hospital in Naples, Florida.
Private family services will be held at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Clifford was born September 16, 1918 in Davenport, the son of Christon C. & Hazel M. (Janney) Spees. He was united in marriage to Barbara E. Callaway in Kahoka, Missouri.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 507th Military Police Escort Guard Company and was honorable discharged in 1943.
Clifford retired in January of 1975 from the former International Harvester Works. Clifford and Barbara moved to Florida in 1979 and were members of the First Baptist Church of Bonita Springs.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Barbara; his son Steve Spees, of Bonita Springs; and his sister Clarice Coyne, of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
