Colleen Collier, 82, of LeClaire, Iowa, died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Jack’s Cemetery in LeClaire.  Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or to Genesis Hospice.

Colleen was born March 20, 1933 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Versal & Dessie (Roe) Paxston.  She moved to Bettendorf with her family in 1940.  Colleen was united in marriage to Albert H. “Slim” Coe on July 4, 1950.  He preceded her in death on December 16, 1958.  She was later united in marriage to James L. Collier on October 3, 1969.

Colleen had been a cook at the Alcoa Company and was the kitchen supervisor at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley.  She enjoyed sewing, having made many dolls, wedding dresses and quilts over the years.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jim; her children, Alan (Crystal) Coe of Bettendorf, Alinda (Gary) Littrel of Bettendorf, Diana (Brad) Hessell of Anabel, Missouri and Joanna (Randy) Fisk of Coal Valley, Illinois; her grandchildren, Christa (Jeff) Merritt of Davenport, Iowa, Heather (Tim) Cramer of LeClaire, Kenneth (Michaela) Negus of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matt Littrel of Bettendorf, Kym (Beth) Negus-Wooldridge of Hampton, Illinois, Nichole Coe of Clive, Iowa, Angelique Campbell of Davenport, Cory (Sara) Coe of Roeland Park, Kansas, Russell Fisk of Ozarks, Missouri and Lindsey Fisk of Ozarks; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Bill Paxston of LeClaire; and her Chinese Pug, Susie 2.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; her son, Albert Coe in 1979; her grandson, Michael Cain in 1976; and her sisters, Norma and JoAnn.
