Cory J. Carter

          Cory J. Carter, 45, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at home.

          Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.

          Cory was born on June 7, 1978 in Riverside, California, the son of Debbie and Danny Carter Sr.

          Those left to honor his memory are his children, Taylor Carter and Trenton Carter, both of Belvidere, Illinois; his mother, Debbie of Sarcoxie, Missouri and his father, Danny of California; his siblings, John Carter of Sarcoxie, Dan Carter of Reno, Nevada, and Doris Carter of Lansing, Michigan; a step-brother, Jason Starshine of Pacifica, California; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends he has met along his journey.
