Courtney Hunt

Courtney Phillip Hunt, 70, of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home.

Committal services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Davenport Memorial Park.  There will not be a visitation or funeral service.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Genesis Hospice.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is in charge of the arrangements.

Courtney was born January 2, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of John W. & Estelle I. Hunt.  He was a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and Eastern Iowa Community College.  He spent his employment career at Brammer Manufacturing in Davenport where he met his wife, Carol, until they closed.

He loved to fish and spent 55 years living on the bank of the Mississippi River.

Those remaining to honor his memory include wife, Carol Jean of Pleasant Valley; his daughters, Tara Lynn Crist (Dane) of Bettendorf and Trisha Anna Hunt of Eldridge; his son, Travis John Hunt (Alexandra) of Colona, Illinois; four grandchildren that he dearly loved, Catelyn Carol Cook, Cassidy Sunshine Cook, Alaina Madelyn Hunt and Owen Edward Hunt; his brother, Conrad A. Mock (Beverly) of Davenport; and his niece, Karen Constantino of Buffalo, Iowa.
