Dallas P. Cary, 76, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Trinity Bettendorf.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dallas Cary Memorial Fund or to King’s Harvest Ministries.
He was born on July 14, 1938 in Morning Sun, Iowa, the son of Dennis M. & Lela (Hoffman) Cary Sr.
Dallas retired from the John Deere Company of East Moline after 30 years of faithful service and was a former member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Among the things he enjoyed were, playing billiards, traveling, his children and grandchildren, living in Arizona and stock car racing.
Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Bryan (Laury) Cary in Hawaii, Brad Cary of Rockford, Illinois and Bret “Buddha” (fiancé, Melissa McCoy) Cary of Moline, Illinois; his grandchildren, Chase, McKenna, Bailey, Emma and Jake; his great-grandson, Jace; his sister, Colleen (Pete) Lehman of Bettendorf; and his brother, Dennis M. Cary Jr. of Bettendorf.
Dallas was preceded in death by his son, Bart Cary; his brothers, Eugene Kreiger and Danny Cary; and infant brother; and his parents.
