Daniel Gryp

Daniel L. Gryp, 36, a resident of Davenport, died Friday, January 17, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on December 16, 1977 in Rock Island, Dan was the son of John Gryp and Donna Whited.
Dan worked in construction for most of his life. He enjoyed working on cars, building models, drawing and playing with Legos. Dan loved his dogs.
Those left to honor his memory include his girlfriend, Shayna Wiatt of Davenport; three children, Hailey, Hannah and Kaleb Smith of Milan; mother, Donna Fordham of Moline; father, John Gryp of East Moline; grandfather, James “Catfish” Whited of East Moline; sisters, Brandi Whited of Moline and Stephanie Gryp of Davenport; brothers, Michael Whited and Dillon Whited, both of Rock Island and Johnny Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
