Daniel J. O'Malley

Daniel J. O’Malley, 33, of Bettendorf, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Monday, August 16, 2010 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the family.
Danny was born February 25, 1977 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Joseph D. & Joyce A. (Simpson) O’Malley. He was a 1995 graduate of Bettendorf High School.
He was employed as a Sales Representative with Mediacom and with Lawnworks, Inc.. Danny enjoyed a wide variety of sports including basketball, golf, fishing and bowling, where he had played on a league at Highland Park Bowl in Moline, Illinois. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing video games. Danny especially loved the time spent with his children, his family and friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Joyce O’Malley, of Bettendorf; his children, Jayde Olivia O’Malley & Derek Daniel O’Malley, both of Bettendorf; his sister, Debbie Jo Torrez, of Bettendorf; his brothers, Shane Patrick (Lisa) O’Malley, of Des Moines, Iowa, Ryan Donavan O’Malley and Eric Michael O’Malley, both of New Albany, Indiana; his grandfather, Oren H. Simpson, of Waterloo; the mother of his children, Jessica Kresser, of Bettendorf; (His Brittany) and her children, Marcos & Aayden; and all of Danny’s Bros.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; his sister, Anna D. O’Malley; and his son, Jalen Joseph Litscher.
