Daphane Thomas Alexander

Daphane Thomas Alexander, 79, of Davenport passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2nd at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Health Cancer Center or to King’s Harvest No-Kill Pet Shelter.

Daphane was born on December 15, 1944 in San Diego, California, the daughter of John and Marie (Baugh) Thomas.  In 1963, she graduated from Durant High School.  She married Lloyd Ray Carlton in October of 1963, but they later divorced.  While raising her daughters, she worked at her parent’s shop, Thomas’ Rock Hobby Supplies.  On February 14, 1988, Daphane married David Lynn Alexander.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Darcy (Michael) Beard, Debora  Alley (Gary Grubbs), and Samantha Jo Alexander (Brent Malstrom); grandchildren, Justin (Toni) Beard, John (Jody) Beard, Lacey Alley, Tony Putt, and Megan Malstrom; and great-grandchildren, Devin Melton Charboneau, Shyla and Shaylenn Beard, Adyn, Caelen, and Colbie Grace Lawson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David.
