David Bauer

David Edward Bauer, 73, of Walcott, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at home. Private family graveside services will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #26, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Friday,September 25, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.

David was born September 18, 1946 in Davenport, the son of Cecil and Mae (Herzberg) Bauer. He married Betty Johnson, they were later divorced; he then married Diane Kraft on November 1, 1975 in Rock Island, they were later divorced; he married Theresa Kerr on December 23, 1992 in Rock Island.

David worked as a painter for John Deere and Caterpillar and then worked maintenance for Scott County Parks and Recreation.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Theresa of Walcott; his daughters, Jennifer (Earl) Bunch of Davenport, Shannon Riley of Davenport and Julie West of Florida; his son, David Russell of Bloomington, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; her sisters, Nancy West of Florida and Donna Wulf of Clinton, Iowa; and his brothers, John Bauer of Davenport and Bob Bauer of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ken Bauer and Chuck Bauer.
