David R. Bergert, 40, of Bettendorf, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his mother’s home.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the David Bergert Memorial Fund.
David was born on April 18, 1973 in Davenport, the son of Gary and Beverlie (Baustian) Bergert. He married Phylissa Pruett.
David was a graduate of Bettendorf High School. David was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed music and fishing. David lived in Alaska for a few years before moving back to Bettendorf.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Beverlie; three sons, Elijah Pruett, Benjahmin and Obadiah Bergert; maternal grandmother, Joyce Baustian; sister, Sara Bergert of New Mexico; and brother, Daniel (Monika) Bergert of Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his father.
