David was born on July 24, 1964 in Davenport, the son of Marvin L. and Mary Jane (Boyjisky) Kane Sr. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1982. David owned and operated a catering business in Georgia. In his spare time he loved to fish, ride his bicycle and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, and Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed going to the Clemson games with Bob Lambert and John Friddle. David loved his family and friends and would have done anything for them. He especially had a close relationship with his mother, Mary Jane, and on one occasion in particular, he pushed her up the Brady St. hill during the Bix to ensure that she was able to participate. The following year, there was a tribute to Mary Jane at the Bix. David will always be remembered for his contagious smile and being the life of the party.
Those left to honor his memory are his sisters, Melodie (Michael) Boyjisky of Davenport, and Laurie (Joe) Carpio of Bettendorf; brother, Marvin Kane Jr. of Acworth, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Melvin, Jimmie, Debbie, and Katherine.
