David Wells

David C. Wells, 70, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed January 17th, 2021 at his home in LeClaire.

He was born January 11, 1951 at his home in Ottumwa, IA, the son of Elmer and Marcella Wells.

Those left to honor his memory include his lifelong friend Charles R. Etheridge of Colona, IL, his brother Richard Wells of Punta Gorda, FL and sister, Sandy Zuiderhoek of Winona, MN.

David also left behind his two daughters, Crista Wells and Barbara Joplin both of Austin, TX, stepchildren, Shalene and Joshua Huntley of Davenport, IA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Pleasant Valley High in 1969 where he wrestled in the heavy weight division and started for his Varsity Football team. He worked at McLaughlin Body Company in the 70’s and went on to work for John Deere Davenport in 1978 where he proudly retired in 2008.

He will be remembered as a motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed photography and loved to contribute to his community.
