David R. Williams

David R. Williams, 56, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died unexpectedly on Friday, May 5, 2006 at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital in Bettendorf.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1107 Tanglefoot Lane in Bettendorf where he was a member. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born August 15, 1949 in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of Robert & Pauline Williams. David graduated from Gilbert High School, Gilbert, Iowa and from Iowa State University. On December 27, 1970, he was united in marriage to Sue A. Lillegraven in Decorah, Iowa. Sue preceded him in death on October 27, 2002.
David was employed as the Midwest Regional Manager for Minuteman PowerBoss of Aberdeen, North Carolina.
He was a loving & devoted husband, father & grandfather and will always remain alive in the hearts of those who knew & loved him.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Ashley of Bettendorf; his sons & daughters-in-law, Brian & Julie Williams of Bettendorf and John & Stacy Williams of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandchildren Emily, Cameron, Nathan, Breanna & Natalie; his parents, Robert & Pauline Williams of Ames, Iowa; his sisters & brothers-in-law, Jeannie & Rick Massengale of Peachtree City, Georgia and Nancy & Gus Brinkman of Rolfe, Iowa; his parents-in-law, Roland & Hattie Lillegraven of Decorah, Iowa; his brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John & Wanda Lillegraven of Decorah; and ten nieces & nephews.
