Dennis Bradley

Dennis M. Bradley, 66, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home following an extended illness.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 12, 2012 in the chapel at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.  Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the education of his grandchildren.

He was born January 5, 1946 in Spring Green, Wisconsin, the son of Everett & Mary (Russell) Bradley and was a graduate of Schullsburg High School in Schullsburg, Wisconsin.  On August 10, 1963, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Lynn Brown in Dubuque.  She preceded him in death on February 6, 1997.

Dennis was the owner & operator of Beacon Asphalt of Bettendorf.

He adored his grandchildren, enjoyed antiquing, Sunday drives, having a good meal and spending time with his beloved family.

Those left to honor his memory include his son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Angela Bradley of Redlands, California and their children, Sierra, Jaron, Sarina & Jose; his daughter & son-in-law, Julie (Gordon) Schneider of Bettendorf and their children, Kal, Koy, Annette, Scott & Ryan; his great-grandchildren, Grayson & Mark; his brothers, Steve (Julie) Bartmann of Dubuque and Ronnie Bradley, a resident of the Philippines; a favorite aunt, Viorene Husemann of Dubuque; several half-sisters and half-brothers; and his companion & beloved friend, Maggi Carpenter of Bettendorf.

In addition to his wife, Dennis was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Bradley and Larry Husemann; and by his parents.
