Dennis F. Longlett, 68, of Eldridge, Iowa, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa..

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service and a luncheon will be held after the service.  Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Faith Lutheran Church of Eldridge, the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minnesota or to his family.

Dennis was born October 16, 1947 in Davenport, the son of Floyd & Dorothy (Jurgens) Longlett.  He was a 1965 graduate of Davenport West High School and of AIC Business College in Davenport and Des Moines.  Dennis had worked at several area banks throughout the years, as well as Caterpillar and W.G. Block.  He had most recently driven for Enterprise.

He was Past-President and member of the Eldridge Lions Club, past member of the Iowa City Old Capitol Chorus Barbershop Group, the Davenport Chordbusters Chorus, the Bend of the River Chorus of Rock Island and many other Barbershop quartets.  Dennis directed and sang with the Faith Lutheran Church choir in Eldridge and sang with the choir at Zion Lutheran Church.

Dennis enjoyed golfing, fishing, gathering with family and friends and especially singing.  He enjoyed watching his daughters grow into womanhood and the time spent with his daughters, grandson and granddaughters.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Teresa Smith of Davenport and Krista Longlett of Park View, Iowa; his grandchildren, Matthew, Rachael and Alexandria; his brother and sister-in-law, Darrell & Kathy Longlett of Blue Grass, Iowa; and his nephews, Eric, Brad and Alex.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
