Diana L. Frahm, 75, of Long Grove, Iowa, died July 2, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. God, in his Grace, took her within days of her cancer diagnosis, limiting her suffering.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge, Iowa where she was a member. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Spragueville Cemetery in Spragueville, Iowa. Contributions in Diana’s memory may be made to a charity of the Donor’s choice.
Diana was born February 13, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of John & Viola (Killion) Schroeder. She was united in marriage to Wyatt P. Frahm in Davenport on November 28, 1958. She lived most of her life in Scott County. Sharing her life with her husband farming, they moved to Jackson County and then later moved back to Scott County.
Diana enjoyed spending time with all her lifelong friends. She enjoyed playing cards, going to dances, having picnics, going out to eat, celebrating the holidays and traveling. She had also been a member of the Red Hat Society. Diana loved her five kids and enjoyed going and supporting each one of them in their activities. She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the fun times they shared. Diana was a wonderful Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister and Friend.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Wyatt; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Pat Zeimet of DeWitt, Iowa; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Debbie Frahm of Long Grove, Dale Frahm (Michelle Hawley) of Long Grove and Terry & Lacey Frahm of Baldwin, Iowa; her grandchildren, Heather, William, Jake, Jamie, Cassie, Alex, Samantha, Chance and Faith; her great-grandchildren, Averi, Taydem, Camden, Lillian, and Kadin; her sisters, Shirley Stockwell of Nova Scotia and Arlene (Bill) Dibbern of Davenport; and a sister-in-law, Tootie Sears of Rock Island, Illinois.
Diana was preceded in death by her son, Andy Frahm in 1981; her parents; her brothers, Bobby and John Schroeder; a brother-in-law, Bill Stockwell; and a sister-in-law, Roberta Schroeder.
A luncheon will be held for all at Faith Lutheran Church following the funeral service on Friday.
