Diana Virginia Meinert

Funeral services for Diana Virginia Meinert, 81, of Bettendorf, will be 1:00 pm Monday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Diana passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport, IA.

Diana Virginia Woodson was born on September 14, 1942, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Floyd and Mildred (Koll) Woodson. She worked at Alcoa as a Metallurgy Technician for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, bowling, gardening, collecting   cobalt blue glassware and playing games on the computer.

Survivors include her children, Eydie Petersen of East Moline, IL, Mark (Bernadette) Scharfenberg of Las Vegas, NV, John (Stephanie) Scharfenberg of Russell, IA, Rachele (Randy) O’Neil of Moline, IL, 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Mae Aultman of Davenport and brother, Ralph (Linda) Schmidt of Rock Island, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Brent Scharfenberg, brother, Edward Woodson and granddaughter, Hope O’Neil.
