Dolores Ruchotzke

Dolores M. Ruchotzke, 82, a resident of Eldridge, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lowden. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 9, 1932, Dolores was the daughter of Walter and Helen (Wray) Shedeck. She married Wilbert L. Ruchotzke in Lowden, Iowa. He preceded her in death.

Dolores was a homemaker but also helped her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and home decorating and arranging. Dolores was an excellent singer, singing for numerous events and at her church.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Jeannie (Jim) Forsythe of Shelton, Washington and Julie (Steven) Bronson of Saunemin, Illinois; four grandchildren; Nick, Alicia, Eric and Christina; seven great-grandchildren; Cali, Zoey, Bentley, Jeannie, James, Augustine and Patrik; four sisters, Violet (Larry) Flshner, Marlene Ruchotzke, Eileen (John) Wosaba and Teresa (Jack) Sides; and one brother, DeWayne (Mary Joy) Shedeck of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
