Donald Goldermann

Donald H. Goldermann, 77, a resident of Bettendorf, passed away, Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 23rd from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.
Born on March 14, 1938 in Davenport, Donald was the son of Vernon and Leona (Brinkmann) Goldermann. On June 4, 1960 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport, he married Donna Makepeace.
Donald owned and operated Goldermann Construction, Inc. for many years. He also worked as a Superintendent for JC Penney for ten years.
Donald loved to work, building things and camping. He cherished his time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Donna; daughter, Sue (Bill) Reed of Eldridge; son, Donald T. “Todd” Goldermann of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Danni, Abby Jo, T.J. and Nicole; and a great-granddaughter, Maci Jo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jodi Smith; granddaughter, Michelle Goldermann; three brothers and one sister.
