Donald F. Quick Sr., 84, of Davenport, passed away Thursday June 6, 2013 at Genesis East Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday June 10, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers funeral home. Visitation will be Sunday 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Donald was born January 11, 1929 in Moline, IL, the son of Francis and Mildred (Dick) Quick. In 1993 he was united in marriage to Marie Meister in Davenport. Donald retired in 1987 as a Captain from the Davenport Fire Department after 27 years of service. He also owned the Quick Auto Shop. Donald enjoyed golfing and working on cars. He was part of the Eagles, Fireman’s Club, American Legion, and the VFW.
Donald will be remembered by his wife Marie Quick, Davenport; two daughters Catherine (Ken) Delugish, Bettendorf, Patti Quick, Davenport; three sons Donald (Carolene) Quick Jr, Davenport, Ronald (Jeannie) Quick, Davenport, and Bruce (Linda) Quick, Maysville; step-children Renee (Mike) Brown, Luling, LA, and Raymond (Eilleen) Meister, Davenport; sister Carol (Don) Wall, Los Angeles, CA; brother James Quick and wife Pat whom preceded Donald in Death, Chiefland, FL; 8 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and one great grandchild.
