Donald E. Mcfadden

Donald E. McFadden, 71, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at his home following an extended illness.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. As per his wishes, he will be cremated following the visitation. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born April 24, 1935 in Davenport, the son of Walter W. & Clara A. (Collins) McFadden. He married Marion R. Stimmel in Des Moines, Iowa in November of 1957. He later married Estella M. Peters in Rock Island, Illinois on December 15, 1963.
Don was employed as a truck driver for Ney Trucking of Dubuque, Iowa, retiring in 2004.
Among the things he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, driving his semi and visiting casinos.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, EStella; his daughters, Candi R. Carlson in Florida, Della K. (Tim) Fulton of Davenport and Rosemary (Jim) Rogers of Davenport; his sons, Duff E. (Janet) McFadden of Johnson, Iowa, Donald L. (Marion) Fulton of Wilton, Iowa, Jay R. (Nola) McFadden of Davenport and Michael A. McFadden of Davenport; his granddaughter whom he raised, Virginia Sue of Davenport; fifteen other beloved grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Lou Agan and Dorothy McFadden, both of Davenport; his brothers, Warren (Eva) McFadden of Des Moines, Iowa, Chuck (Grace) McFadden of Monticello, Iowa and Art (Donita “Beany”)McFadden of Davenport; and many nieces & nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Donald Lee; his sister, Norma Jean; and his brothers, Jack & Bob McFadden.
