Donald L. Gregory

Donald L. Gregory, 70, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Thursday, Mach 5, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 9, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Donald was born March 18, 1937 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Robert Sr. & Violet (Scary) Gregory. He was united in marriage to Carol Hyman in Davenport on May 5, 2004.
Donald ws honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He was retired from John Deere & Company in Horicon, Wisconsin where he was a machine operator. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, drawing, hunting and fishing.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carol; his children Donald (Tina) Gregory, James (Melanie) Gregory, Onnie (Echo) Gregory, all of Wisconsin, and Jerry Gregory, of Rock Island, Illinois; his step-children, Kandy Bryant and her fiancé, Mitchell Hill, of Bettendorf, Melissa (Gene) Carnes, and Robert (Shannon) Force, all of Chatsworth, Georgia; 6 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one step-great-grandchild; his brother, Robert Gregory, of Wisconsin; his step-mother, Evelyn Gregory, of Minnesota; one sister; his brother-in-law, Donald (Linda) Hyman, of Cleveland, Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Helen Shoe, of Mooresville, North Carolina; and a special friend of the family, Bradley McAdam.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie.
