Donald M. Ridgeway

Donald M. Ridgeway, 66, of LeClaire, Iowa, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.
Don was born March 25, 1942 in Douds, Iowa, the son of Jay & Helen (Manning) Ridgeway. He was united in marriage to Wanda Reed on March 12, 1963 in Bettendorf.
Don retired in 2001 after several years of employment as a welder for BT Prime Mover in Muscatine, Iowa. He had previously been employed at Caterpillar Works in Mt. Joy, Iowa and Brammer’s in Davenport.
Don enjoyed bowling, camping, spending time doing yard work and he enjoyed old western films and tomatoes.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Wanda; his sons, Gerald (Shelly) Ridgeway, of Eldridge, Iowa, Gean Ridgeway, of Pleasant Valley, and Paul Ridgeway, of LeClaire; six grandchildren; his sisters, Doris (Maynard) Danielson, of Lovell, Wyoming and Debra Steward of Davenport; and his brothers, Dean (Pat) Ridgeway, of North Carolina and Darrell (Jan) Ridgeway, of Bettendorf.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
