Donna Arndt

Donna R. Arndt, 75, of Donahue, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Manor Care in Davenport.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Donahue Community Center & Fire Station in Donahue. Memorials may be made to the family.

Donna was born July 20, 1944 in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard & Gladys (Hans) Evers. In 1962, she graduated from Jefferson High School. On May 14, 1988, she was united in marriage to George M. Arndt in Bettendorf, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2002.

Donna was a member of the American Business Women’s Association.   She enjoyed playing bingo, participating in arts and crafts and, while at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donna formed friendships with many people.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Robert “Bob” (Marsha) Arndt of Donahue and Bill (Lorie) Arndt of Davenport; her daughter-in-law, Lynda Arndt of Bettendorf; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Barb (Paul Martin) Schaffer and family of Central City, Iowa and Pat (Dennis) Davis and family of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Vic (Lottie) Evers of Germany; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Arndt; her step-father, Floyd B. Prusia; and a younger brother, Dick Evers.
