Donna M. Jerrett, 71, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21st at church and one hour prior to Mass on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Donna was born January 21, 1946 in Nashua, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Donna (Nims) Schmall. On May 22, 2004 she married Gary Jerrett.
Donna worked at John Deere for 26 years in supply management. She enjoyed spending time on the golf course, playing games, going to the casino, traveling, fishing, and most of all, spending time with her loving family.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gary Jerrett; daughter, Courtney Smith of North Hills, California; step-children, Dan Jerrett of Denver, Colorado and Michelle (Dennis) DeMars of Buford, Georgia; grandchildren, Brianne Alwag, Taylor and Dylan DeMars; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Isaac; sisters, Katherine Osterman of Rockwell, Iowa, Pat (Ron) Barr of Dubuque, Dorothy Mosher of Dana Point, California, and Barbara Bean of Charles City, Iowa; brothers, Deacon Jim (Burma) Schmall of Millington, Tennessee, and Tony Schmall of Shell Rock, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Rose.
