Donna Nelson

Donna J. Nelson, 64, of Princeton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at her home.

A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge, Iowa.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Donna was born January 31, 1954 in Vernon, Alabama, a daughter of J. B. & Dora (Warlick) Pennington.  She was united in marriage to Rodney L. Nelson in June of 1991.

Donna was a Nurses’ Aide with the former Franciscan Hospital in Rock Island, Illinois in earlier years.  She had enjoyed camping and the company of her family.  She kept close contact with them and would always remember everyone’s birthdays.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Rod; her daughter, Amber Nelson of Bettendorf; her son, Tony (Kim) Nelson of Joslin, Illinois; her grandchildren, Alexis Nelson, Gaba Segura and Roman Segura; her sister, Patricia (Louie) Adams of Sulligent, Alabama; and her brother, Kenneth Pennington of Sulligent.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
