Doris M. Wales

Doris M. Wales, 80, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Doris was born November 11, 1926 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Harry E. & Alcy (Hays) Shaw. On April 9, 1943, she was united in marriage to Cubert Wales in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1980.
Doris was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Barb Erwin and her husband, Edward, of Davenport; her grandchildren, Debbie (Erwin) Mulvehill of Bettendorf, Mike Erwin of Davenport and Mark Erwin of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Cubert; she was preceded in death by her twin sons, Edward Dean and Edwin Gene; her grandson, Steve Erwin; her brothers, Edward Sherman Shaw and Walter Shaw; and her sisters, Ada Madalene Gilkison and Patricia Fisher.
