Dorothy Beckmann

Dorothy B. Beckmann, 92, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Senior Star Memory Care Center in Davenport.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Born on February 5, 1922 in Pleasant Valley, Dorothy was the daughter of Henry Charles and Martha A. (Patsch) Baumbach. She married Richard Beckmann. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2005.
Dorothy was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bettendorf.
Those left to honor her memory include her grandson, Brad Beckmann of North Lauderdale, FL and her great-granddaughter, Ashli Beckmann of Jacksonville, FL.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Daniel Beckmann; brother, Alvin and sister, Elizabeth.
