Dorothy M. “Dee” Cramblit, 74, of Bettendorf, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her home.
A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte, Iowa.
Dee was born October 11, 1940 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Lester & Elsie V. (Holmes) Cramblit. She was a 1958 graduate of Fort Madison High School and was united in marriage to Terry Lee Brown in 1958.
Dee’s family would like to express special thanks to all of the nurses and caregivers who visited Dee at her home so she could live there with her beloved cat, "Boo ."
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Brown of Burlington, Iowa, JoDee & Mark Nichols of Wright City, Missouri and Lisa & Tom Lansman of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Eric Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeff Grant of Burlington, Drake Lansman of Bettendorf and Erica Lansman of New York City; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Charlotte Holvey of West Point, Iowa; and her former husband, Terry Brown of Memphis, Tennessee.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Mary Bel Kerkove.
