Dorothy Eagleson-McKibbin, 91, a resident of Buffalo, Iowa and formerly of Canton, Missouri died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
Visitation will be held Tuesday November 2, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa and a second visitation will be held Wednesday November 3, 2010 after 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to the Handicapped Development Center of Davenport.
Dorothy was born June 2, 1919 in Canton, the daughter of George Fred and Catherine Wheeler Wolf. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Westside Assembly of God Church in Davenport.
She was married to William Eagleson in 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1976. She later married Kenneth McKibbin on Sept. 8, 1980 and he preceded her in death in May of 1997.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Robert Eagleson of Canton; her daughters, Thelma (Gerald) Epperson of Rock Island, Illinois, Rebecca (Kenneth) Bross of Canton, and Patricia Bergstrom of Harvard, Illinois; her sisters Ilene Marie Marks and Freda Jacobs both of Canton; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; her step-sons and their wives, Gary and Roxanne McKibbin of Walcott, Iowa and Larry and Mindy McKibbin of Jackson, Tennessee; four step-daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Bill Guizar of Davenport, Donna and Ray Hicks of Blue Grass, Iowa, Linda and Bob Van Hoorghi of Cordova, Illinois and Cindy and Don Mosier of Buffalo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, Clarence (Pete) and Fred William (Buddy) Wolf; her sister, Virginia Wolf; her daughters, Dorothy Traum and Marjorie Keppler; and her son William (Billy) Eagleson.
