Dorothy Foster

Dorothy E. Foster, 88, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Kahl Home in Davenport.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
Dorothy was born on January 20, 1925 in Rio, IL, the daughter of Walter F. and Ethel (Swanson) Palm. Dorothy worked at the Rock Island Arsenal where she held various positions. She retired in 1988.
Dorothy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Davenport. She enjoyed ceramics and crocheting. Dorothy cherished her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Jean Bernich of Yoncalla, Oregon, Karen (Rex) Tuttle of Davenport and Connie (Raul) Cervantes of Moline; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and her brother, Marvin (Anna) Palm of Pekin, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ruby Kincaid.
