Dorothy D. Rank

Dorothy D. Rank, 74, of Davenport, died Monday, February 13, 2006 at Manor Care Nursing Center, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 16, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jack's Cemetery, LeClaire, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
Dorothy was born July 24, 1931 in LeClaire, the daughter of William & Sophia (Nieman) Stewart. She was united in marriage to Everett D. Rank on May 27, 1950 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1984.
Dorothy will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. She had, in earlier years, been involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Association and the Davenport Police Auxiliary.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Gail & Jim Buhman, of Bettendorf; her son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell & Karen Rank, of Davenport; her grandchildren, Jamie & Bryan Buhman; and her great-granddaughter, Clarah Buhman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
