Douglas B. Moore

Douglas B. Moore, 67, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Internment will be at Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Genesis Health Services Foundation for Nursing Education. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Douglas was born February 25, 1942 in Anniston, Alabama the son of Joe Beall Moore and Geraldine Ray Kiker. He was united in marriage to Lien My Thi Nguyen on April 28, 1985 in Davenport.
He was an alumni of the University of Alabama and an avid fan of their football program. His children were the love of his life.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Lillie A. Moore of Bettendorf, Stephanie G. Moore of Bettendorf and Emily Moore of Knoxville, Tennessee; his sons Michael J. B. Moore of Bettendorf and Nicholas B. Moore of Bettendorf; his wife, Lien of Bettendorf; his brother William R. (Becky) Moore of La Grange, Georgia and his nephews Blake (Holly) Moore of Greenville, South Carolina and Bryant (Stacy) Moore of Birmingham, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Doug Jr. and Andrew Moore.
