Duane Russow

Duane H. Russow, 77, a resident of Moline, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday. Entombment will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Jane’s Place, an Alzheimer’s support group through CASI in Davenport.
Born on August 13, 1936 in Iowa City, Duane was the son of Simon “Sam” and Marie (Coakley) Schroeder. In April 1960 in Dubuque, he married Marion Decker. They later divorced.
Duane worked as the office/loan manager for Ford Motor Credit in Davenport for many years. He enjoyed golfing.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Linda (Mark) O’Toole of Johnston, IA, Cathy (Fred Dietz) Russow of Davenport and Karen (Ronnie) Claussen of Davenport; grandchildren, Megen, Kaitlyn, Dakota and Samantha; sister, Mary Jane Lucas of Dubuque; and brothers, John (Ann) Schroeder of Dubuque and Paul (Elyn) Schroeder of Burlington, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
