Edward Boese, 72, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at his home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 8, 2005 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Friday. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born June 5, 1932 in Waukon, Iowa, the son of Robert & Dorothy Boese. On September 29, 1957, he married Jane E. Hesse in Postville, Iowa.
Ed was employed as a molder at Blackhawk Foundry in Davenport and retired from Russelloy Foundry in Durant, Iowa.
Among his interests were hunting, fishing and sports, especially the Chicago Cubs, the Minnesota Vikings and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Jane; his daughters, Tonya Creasy & her husband, Ron, and Lori McCallister & her fiancé, Mike Burson, all of Davenport; his sons, Jeffrey Boese & his wife, Terry and Rick Boese & his fiancé, Cindy, all of Davenport; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren & another expected soon; his sister, Kate Glick of Anamosa, Iowa; his brothers, Donald Boese of Waukon and Frank Boese of Postville; and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and several brothers.
