Edward Weaver

Edward W. Weaver, 73, of Davenport, passed away Sunday February 16, 2014, at his residence.

Per Edward’s wishes his body was donated to science for medical research.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Edward was born December 14, 1940 in Maxwell, Iowa, the son of Hugh and Opal (McKeever) Weaver.  On January 14, 1962 he united in marriage to Carol Holdgrafer, in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.  He worked as a Fabricator, but was able to do anything.

Edward enjoyed fishing, watching bald eagles, old classic cars, and spending time with his family.   He was a strong man, who fought a courageous battle.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Carol Weaver; his three sons Jerry, James, and Tim Weaver; his two daughters Mary Kay (Patrick) O’Keefe and Sara (Chad) Tholen; his two granddaughters Jessica and Megan Hoffmann; his two brothers Dick (Wanda) and Thom (Merlin) Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend Ray Holdgrafer.
