Edward C. Schricker

Edward C. Schricker, 80, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital, Bettendorf.
Services & interment will be private. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or to the Scott County Humane Society.
He was born May 4, 1924 in Davenport, the son of Elmer & Edna (Rohwedder) Schricker. He married Dorothy Elene McDorman in 1952 in Kahoka, Missouri. She preceded him in death on April 22, 1994.
Edward was employed as a service writer for the formerWarren Langwith Cadillac/Pontiac in Davenport, retiring after 28 years of service.
During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps with the 367th Bomb Squadron in Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was honorable discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1946 and received the American Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 4 Bronze Battle Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, the Air Medal with 2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters and the World War II Victory Medal.
Those left to honor his memory include his son & daughter-in-law, Chris & Marcia Schricker of Bettendorf; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Schricker of Davenport.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie K. Schricker; his sister, Jean Vassen; and his brothers, Harold Schricker and Kemmer Schricker.
