Edward James Ryner Jr., 66, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home.
As per the family’s wishes there will be no services. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edward was born July 5, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Edward James Rosella Mae (Hicks) Ryner Jr.. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Johnston on December 31, 1965 at St. Marks Lutheran Church, Davenport, Iowa.
Edward worked as a quality assurance technician for the Oscar Meyer Co., Davenport, Iowa. He was there for 36 years without a sick day.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, music and dancing.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Judith; his sons, James Michael Ryner, Dallas, Texas and Robert Edward Ryner, Rock Island, Illinois; his sisters, Anna, Muscatine, Iowa and Dina, Davenport, Iowa; his nephews, Mike, Leroy and Richard and his niece, Missy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, James Lyle Johnston and his step-father, Walter Beintema.
