Visitation for Eldon John Graff, 94, of Davenport, will be 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Tuesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion #26.
Eldon passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.
Eldon was born on January 9, 1930, in Greenville, IL, the son of Irvin and Vernice (Aspel) Graff. He married Lillian P. Taylor on February 23, 1953, in Greenville, IL. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2013. He worked as a Medical Technologist for many years at Hurley Hospital, Flint, Michigan. He attended Greenville College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Eldon enjoyed Art, painting, stained glass, basketry, fishing and Jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Duncan of Princeton, IA, Patricia Conway, LeClaire, IA, grandsons, Alexander Duncan of Iowa City, Caleb Conway, Tavis Conway, both of Reynolds, IL, nephew, Stephen Hasenmeyer and niece, Margaret Hasenmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his daughter, Dr. Barbara Graff (Balcer), sister, Joyce Hasenmeyer and brothers, Glendon, Vernon and Burton Graff.
